…it would have been really helpfull if had known before that it doesent work with audiobooks downloaded in iTunes. Bought it to make my 4 part audiobooks to one part audiobooks. But since bought in iTunes it doesen work. disappointing!

Converting a CD audiobook into an iTunes compatible file is tedious and time consuming. This program makes the process simple! Im already very impressed after converting just one of my many audiobooks.

After 2 years of fiddling around with audiobook software that told me to import then export, then select this this this and this, then re import then blah blah. Finally I found a program that I title the book, drag and drop the files (of which I have a full 100 gig drive and then some), add a cover picture if I want, push ONE button, and voila, there is an .m4b in iTunes that works. Done. It took about 5-7 minutes to code Stephen Kings Dark tower book 1 on a stock 2009 Macbook Pro, and about 25 minutes to code George Carlins Memoirs. Absolutely works as promised.

This app has made my life so much easier when it comes to dealing with my audiobook collection. I never liked the fact that each audiobook I transfered into iTunes would result in hundreds of files, then mulitiply that by numerous of audiobooks! This app makes it so much easier to deal with. I feed it my cds and it produces a single file and puts it in my iTunes library. So much easier and cleaner!

This is a great program for converting books. The only things missing are multicore support (if youve seen XLD ripping / compressing a CD youll know what I mean) and a counter for number of audiodisks currently ripped (sometimes a CD will be ejected by OSX and if unattended youll never know you missed a disk) That said, excellent program.

Bought this app after getting frustrated using Toast 10. Really like how it does not go online to look up the title of the book. Also really liked how the audio book can be built over more than one session (save the .abuilder file and rip a few more discs later when you have time.) Suggestions for improvement would be the ability to name chapters and perhaps have chapters in the finished audiobook. All in all great value for the money. Thank you Splasm for a great app!

The application is really great as I can create my own audio library M4B. My iPhone is thankful as well.

I used this app religiously! Reliable and worth the purchase. Makes my life super easy. Can make bookmarkable audiobooks or make it an mp3 file. One suggestion to make the process easier of tagging with audiobook covers — if it somehow can query google image search and or Amazon to select the right image for the product and automatically add the cover to the build process vs. manually drag and drop the image into the boxed area. Nothing but good to share about it. A looooong time user.

I’ve been using this app for quite a while now and I’ve always been impressed with it. I’ve got a decent library of old CDs and have downloaded audiobooks in awkward formats that clutter up my iTunes library and are hard to navigate and don’t save my place. This app has cleaned up my library and made it a joy to find and listen to the audiobooks I have. I really do love this app - it has every feature you want and none that you don’t in an interface that is so simple and quick to use that I’ll reach for it everytime.

I use Audiobook Builder all the time. It’s reliable and easy. It builds your book very fast once you have your media loaded. I had some questions awhile ago and the developer got back to me immediately, so that’s always nice too. All in all, I would highly recommend this app.

Does what it says, clean interface, easy to use

Great tool and very easy to use

I love this app! It’s wonderful for making my audiobooks on CD easier to manage on my computer and iPhone/iPad. I commute about an hour to and from work every day, and audiobooks get me through the mind-numbing traffic. Being able to play them on my phone makes me a much safer driver than having to swap out CDs while traversing the highway. The only thing I don’t like is the limit on how long the parts can be. Perhaps it’s my slight OCD, but I like my audiobooks to be contained in just one part, which can’t be done with longer novels. If there was a way to give 4 1/2 stars, I would, because it’s a minor annoyance that may actually say more about me than the app. ;) Thanks for making me a safer driver and keeping me awake behind the wheel!

I just wanted to load my audiobooks on my iPod so I didn’t have to keep switching disks while driving or working. This app made it simple and lets me “read” a lot more than I would if I had to wait for quiet moments to crack an ebook, novel, or paperback. Its been my go to app for a very long time. I agree with the suggestion that it would even be better if there was only one file instead of part I & part II.

Works flawlessly for doing what it’s supposed to do.

I was so frustrated listening to my audio books with my itunes. I couldn’t title the chapters or rewind. With Audiobook Builder I can easily find my place by building chapters and can use the arrow keys to rewind 10 seconds or move forward 10 seconds. Sometimes I’m working as I listen and I want to rewind a section I didn’t quite get. Love this app!

Audiobook Builder does what is says it does, and does it well without a lot of useless features.

What to say - it is very easy to use, and builds audiobooks in as simply a manner as I can imagine. Never had a problem, been using it for years.
